Mask

Praveen Tiwari, a Bank watchman resides in Kolkata with his wife Shikha and daughter Tukai. His salary is usually stalled for months like a number of government employers. When the Corona pandemic emerges, everybody is buying and wearing masks, except Prabeen. He simply denies wearing one, and regularly finds various propagandas from a YouTube channel. He has been so extensively tortured from the people nearby that he even dreams of people forcing him to wear a mask. The major part of the story begins when he has an argument with a customer which ultimately leads to his loss of the job. Broken and dejected by the family and the society, Prabeen gets indulged into the act of consuming alcohol with a bus conductor who eventually denies to provide him more alcohol unless he wears a mask. Haunted with the desire to consume more alcohol, he puts on his mask but the words of the YouTube anchor do not allow him the acceptance of a mask as a part of his being. He rejects the use of masks and ends up in a feud with the bus conductor and his friends after which he faints down. Later as he gains his consciousness, it is discovered that he has already infected by the Covid-19 and is put in quarantine for few days which ultimately leads to his death.
