Jaitar
This story is set in a small village called Sonaj, where Manya and Radha live. Manya is a bright student from a poor farmer’s family. His father is often ill, and his mother supports the family while urging him to earn. Despite struggles, his father always encourages him. Radha, on the other hand, belongs to a rich and well-known family. While her elder brother stays away for work, her younger brother is strict and controlling. Her mother and sister-in-law are kind and supportive. Manya and Radha have known each other since school. Over time, they grow close and fall in love, with Manya’s friend helping them meet. However, their relationship is discovered by Radha’s brother, who beats Manya and confines Radha at home. Disturbed by Radha’s sudden distance and his own family problems, Manya attempts suicide but survives. Soon after, he gets a job offer and tries to meet Radha secretly to share the news. Unfortunately, her brother catches them and brutally assaults him again. Manya is left in a coma with little hope of recovery. Unable to bear the situation, Radha ends her life.
